People flock to the parks of Melbourne every sunny chance they get. Melbournites crave the sun like crack and when it arrives they bath in it until every last ray of sunshine is soaked into their pale pores. A city culture deprived of vitamin D but infatuated with wine and nibbles, it’s no wonder the sunny afternoon picnic makes all kinds of sense.
You get to roll around in the grass getting itchy, drinking Scrumpy, and creating every cheese-quince-bicky combo possible. Eventually you feel so stuffed you flip your body over and watch as the clouds at different altitudes, cross paths to form shapes. It’s the only thing that will distract you from the mountain of dairy you just inhaled. After all… it aint easy being cheesey.
